The board of Dzochen Shri Singha Idaho regrets to inform the local Dharma community that we’re closing the doors of our Latah location. After five years in this location, we’ve decided to reduce expenses and allow for new opportunities to arise. There’s an upside of accepting impermanence and by embracing this change, it is our goal to keep bringing the Dzogchen teachings to the community.

We will still be meeting for group practice at 3 Shapes Aikido in the north end and hosting other teachings in various locations. We will be updating you through this newsletter and our dzogchenidaho.org web site. Thank you to everyone who has supported us in the past and we invite you to join us as we move on to new horizons.

New Location, Date and Times for Buddha Path Group Practice

Join us for group Buddha Path practice and Dharma discussions. New people are always welcome and we look forward to practicing with you.

Group Practice Every MONDAY @ 7 p.m.

The vast and entire path of the Bodhisattva teachings, including the Six Transcendent Perfections, could be summarized as “emptiness of which compassion is the very essence.” The swiftest way to realize this unity of emptiness and compassion is to practice the Six Perfections of generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, and wisdom in every moment. Tonight, Khenpo will discuss how to apply, practice, and realize the six perfections in every action of daily life.

Registration in now open for the 3rd annual Dzogchen Autumn Retreat guided by H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche. The retreat hosted by Dzogchen Shri Singha Idaho will be held at the beautiful, secluded Dzogchen Retreat Center in western Oregon. This year’s teachings will focus on Phowa, or “Transference of Consciousness” and will be the second time Rinpoche has taught extensively on Phowa in America. The teachings will also encompass the pith instructions found in The Buddha Path. These profound methods help one to eradicate negative thinking, and increase positive thinking through the understanding, experiencing, and realizing of one’s own nature which is true happiness, or vast awakening.

Seating is limited, so please read further details and apply now to reserve your space.
